Experts on the Web - a database of experts including more than 4000 translators.
Global Equipment Network - a global freelance interpreter & translator database.
GlobTra.com - GlobTra.com is a free and open international community of professional translators, which lets you find jobs, promote your services and help each other.
GoTranslators - Translators database in 30 languages. Workplace for freelance translators, resources, glossaries, job postings.

AllStar Translators - the website is functioning but the submit page is not (checked 9/11/2004)
FreelanceTranslator.com - no real database here in spite of advertising.
International Internet Translators Database (IITD) - a rather strange translator database: the registration page is hosted at worldwide.edu but is not linked from the main page and there is no indication who owns and operates this database.
InfoMarex - a database and panels of translators and translation agencies. Problems with login.
Net-Translations - virtual holding for translation services. 4,000 freelance translators (no real database here).
Thebigword - no real database here.
Translators Consortium - the website looks abandoned - no new postings since 2002 (checked 9/12/2004).
Wordzone - this database hides personal information about translators registered in it, contact information including, so you do not know even the translator's name when you search the database and the quote received is much more than that of a translator. Direct contact between translators and customers is impossible.
The linguists.com Translator Database - no page with this address.
eLance Inc. - no real database here.
smarterwork - a database of business service providers. No registration of new providers (checked 9/15/2004).
